Syria’s Information Minister Engages in Media Collaboration Talks with Saudi Broadcasting Authority

Riyadh: Minister of Information of the Syrian Arab Republic Khaled Zaarour visited the headquarters of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) in Riyadh today to discuss media cooperation between the two countries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Zaarour met with SBA CEO Ali bin Abdullah Al-Zaid, with whom he addressed ways to strengthen the exchange of expertise, content, and radio and television programs, as well as expand areas of cooperation.

Touring the authority's facilities, Zaarour and his accompanying delegation viewed its broadcasting and production studios, control rooms, and technical equipment used to produce and broadcast content across its television channels and digital platforms. He also viewed the Riyadh Television Tower, a symbol of the authority's heritage.

The Syrian minister also visited Alekhbariya TV channel, where he toured its studios and newsrooms and was briefed on its editorial and news operations, digital broadcasting system, and news content production across various platforms.

Zaarour and the delegation were further briefed on SBA's operations and development projects, including its advances in media production and digital transformation, as well as efforts to develop content and enhance the capabilities of media and technical personnel.
