Taibah University in Madinah concluded the sixth International Multi-Conference on Artificial Intelligence Technology 2026 (MCAIT 2026) after three days of intensive scientific discussions and research presentations. The event focused on the latest advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications across various sectors.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the final day featured sessions dedicated to AI's role in developing Arabic language models and its applications in healthcare, education, cybersecurity, and smart cities. Participants engaged in a specialized workshop and parallel research sessions, conducted both in person and virtually, to discuss cutting-edge research models and findings in these fields.

A significant highlight of the conference was the presentation of research findings on the reliability of Arabic language models. Researcher Reem Altamimi evaluated 17 studies, analyzing the capability of AI models to process Modern Standard Arabic and different Arabic dialects. The research indicated variability in the models' ability to comprehend dialects while maintaining meaning and cultural context. Additionally, a framework was proposed to establish comprehensive standards for assessing the performance and reliability of these AI models.
