The Transport General Authority (TGA), represented by the General Directorate of Inspection, conducted field inspection campaigns in cooperation with the concerned authorities during June. A total of 255,815 inspections of land transport activities were carried out, including 252,736 inspections of transport vehicles and 1,306 inspections of foreign vehicles. The TGA elaborated that 1,773 field visits to land transport facilities in the Kingdom were conducted. Additionally, inspection teams carried out 4,014 inspections of maritime transport activities. They made 23 field visits to rail transport facilities, including Princess Nora University Metro stations and the train stations in Muzdalifah, Arafat, and Mina. During the land transport activities campaigns, 28,102 violations were recorded, while automated monitoring systems captured 10,808 violations. Furthermore, inspection teams recorded 45 violations in maritime transport activities and two observations in rail transport activities. The authority conf irmed that the general compliance rate with land transport regulations during the month of June was 92%, while the rate for maritime transport regulations was 99%, and rail transport regulations were fully compliant at 100%. The recorded violations in transport activities included operating a vehicle or a seasonal driver without obtaining a professional driver's license or a hazardous materials driver's license, operating a transport vehicle without obtaining an operating permit, absence of a transport document for the transported goods, and failure of the driver to adhere to the national or approved uniform while performing duties. The authority indicated that freight transport activity recorded the highest rate of violations in land transport during the month, followed by other activities such as specialized transport, public and airport taxis (individuals), and "facilities" taxis. Makkah Region recorded the highest number of violations in June, with 20,540 violations, followed by the Riyadh region with 5 ,498 violations, Madinah with 5,279 violations, and the Eastern Region with 2,467 violations.
