Baghdad, The Council of Ministers approved the recommendation to the House of Representatives regarding amending the draft law amending the Penal Code No. (111) of 1969, which was approved by the Council of Ministers pursuant to its resolution (23355 of 2023) by adding a new clause to the draft according to the following:

- (The criminal case shall lapse permanently based on the victim’s waiver of his complaint before a final ruling is issued in the case, and the implementation of the ruling shall be suspended if the waiver occurs after the ruling is issued).

The Council of Ministers also approved, in its session held today, Tuesday, a package of executive measures related to electronic payment and electronic points of sale (POS), which the government adopted within its ministerial platform in the axis of economic and financial reforms.
