The increase in Iraqi oil exports to independent Chinese refineries last year

Baghdad – The Chinese Customs Administration announced, today, Monday, that Iraqi oil exports to 32 independent Chinese refineries have increased by about half during the year 2022.

It showed, in its statistics, that Iraq’s oil exports to independent Chinese refineries rose to 12.738 million metric tons, or the equivalent (92.987 million barrels, equivalent to 7.748 million barrels per month, an increase of 45.3% compared to 2021, in which exports amounted to 8.767 million metric ton or the equivalent of (63.999 million barrels) or the equivalent of (5.333 million barrels per month).

It added, “Iraq ranked fifth in oil exports to independent Chinese refineries during the year 2022, with Malaysia ranked first with exports amounting to 46.466 million metric tons, followed by Russia with exports amounting to 30.682 million metric tons, Saudi Arabia third with exports amounting to 21.831 million metric tons, followed by the UAE fourth with exports amounting to 21.378 million metric tons.”
