The Israeli occupation army attacks Palestinian worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque

An Israeli occupation army force stormed, at dawn today, Wednesday, Al-Aqsa Mosque in Al-Quds, and assaulted the worshipers, while arresting a number of Palestinian citizens.

Hamas condemned the move, which it described as an "unprecedented crime", as Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas political bureau, called on the Palestinians at dawn Wednesday to go to Al-Quds to "protect" Al-Aqsa Mosque.

This comes against the background of the injury of a number of those who are in I'tikaaf in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, after the Israeli occupation army stormed Al-Qibli prayer hall to get them out of there, amid the atmosphere of intense tension in the place.

The Palestinian News Agency, Wafa, stated that “the Israeli occupation forces stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, assaulted the worshipers, and tried to forcibly evict Al-Qibli Mosque from the worshipers, and fired stun grenades inside it, in light of the settlement organizations’ calls to carry out massive incursions into Al-Aqsa, on Wednesday, and to slaughter Easter offerings.” /End
