The Kurdistan National Union Parliamentary bloc called on the central and regional governments today, Thursday, to take a serious stance against the Turkish attacks in northern Iraq. In a statement, it condemned the brutal attack launched by Turkish drones on citizens of the Kurdistan Region, indicating that in less than 72 hours, Turkish aircraft launched two separate attacks on the borders of Sulaymaniyah and Dohuk governorates, which led to the martyrdom of 7 citizens, two of whom belong to the same family and the other a young child, in addition to seriously wounding a number of others. The statement added that "the continuation of the attacks and aerial bombardment, and the silence of the federal government and the regional government regarding what is being exposed to the sovereignty of Iraq and the martyrdom and wounding of citizens, is a kind of satisfaction and legitimacy for those attacks," calling on the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to "break their silence and take ser ious positions.
