The Minister of Interior, Abd al-Amir al-Shammari, issued today, Friday, 3 directives regarding the security forces' dealings with demonstrators.
Al-Shammari's media office said in a statement, "Today, Al-Shammari visited the Law Enforcement Command, accompanied by a number of his advisors, and the commander of the Federal Police Forces."
The statement explained that "Al-Shammari was briefed on the progress of the duties and tasks carried out by this leadership," stressing "good dealings with the demonstrators, as well as commitment to the rights of the demonstrator in conjunction with full commitment to duty and the presser of security and public and private property."
Al-Shammari gave, according to the statement, "a set of recommendations that would develop the work of these forces, and listened to a briefing on the latest activities and duties assigned to them."/ End
