The occupation forces arrest 40 citizens from the West Bank

Ramallah - Ma'an - Yesterday and today, Saturday, the Israeli occupation forces launched a wide-scale arrest campaign that targeted at least 40 citizens from the West Bank, including children, former prisoners, in addition to family members of wanted persons who were later released. The Prisoners Club and the Commission of Prisoners' Affairs and Freed Prisoners said in a joint statement that the arrests were concentrated in the governorates of Qalqilya and Nablus, while the rest of the arrests were distributed across most of the governorates of the West Bank. The statement added that the occupation forces continue, during the arrest campaigns, to carry out extensive raids and abuse, attacks and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to field investigations, vandalism and destruction of citizens' homes. He pointed out that the number of arrests since the beginning of the ongoing war of extermination has risen to more than (9840), and this number includes those who were arrested from their homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage. He explained that the occupation forces continue to implement systematic arrest campaigns, as one of the most prominent fixed policies, which escalated in an unprecedented manner after October 7, not only in terms of the number of detainees, but also in terms of the level of crimes committed.
