The President of the Republic stresses from the Jordanian House of Representatives the importance of consolidating parliamentary relations between the two countries

Baghdad, The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, visited the Jordanian House of Representatives in the Jordanian capital, Amman, accompanied by a delegation that included the Minister of Industry and Minerals, Khaled Battal Al-Najm, and a member of the House of Representatives, Talib Khalil Rahi, in addition to a number of officials and advisors. He was received by the Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives, Ahmed Al-Safadi.

The President of the Republic stressed, according to a presidential statement, the importance of consolidating cooperation relations between the Iraqi House of Representatives and the Jordanian House of Representatives in the legislative and legal fields, and joint coordination in international positions, in addition to developing cooperation in the economic and trade fields based on the historical, geographical and social ties that bring the two countries together.

He pointed out that “Iraq enjoys security stability after years of security challenges as a re
sult of dark terrorism,” noting that “the current focus is on the process of construction and reconstruction and improving the standard of living and service for Iraqis by supporting investment in various fields, and encouraging businessmen and companies in friendly countries to enter and work in the Iraqi market.’

For his part, Al-Safadi expressed his “happiness with the President of the Republic’s visit to the Jordanian Parliament building, describing his visit to the Kingdom of Jordan as historic,” stressing its importance in strengthening relations between the two countries.

The Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives stressed the keenness of King Abdullah II and the Jordanian people to raise the level of relations in a way that serves the mutual interests of the two brotherly peoples.
