Thunderstorms and Gusty Winds Expected in Several Saudi Regions

Riyadh: Thunderstorms accompanied by hail and gusty winds are forecasted to affect the regions of Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah. Temperatures are predicted to remain elevated in the Eastern and Riyadh regions, with gusty, dust-stirring winds impacting those areas as well as Makkah, Madinah, and Tabuk.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the weather conditions over the Red Sea will include northwesterly to westerly winds at speeds ranging from 12 to 38 km/h in the northern and central parts. In the southern part of the Red Sea, winds will shift from northwesterly to northeasterly, reaching speeds of 10 to 50 km/h. Wave heights will vary from half a meter to over two meters, creating conditions that range from calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, northwesterly to westerly winds are expected at speeds of 15 to 40 km/h in the northern part. In the central and southern parts, winds will vary from northeasterly to northwesterly at speeds of 10 to 28 km/h. Wave heights are expected to range from half a meter to one and a half meters, with relatively calm sea conditions anticipated.
