Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Predicted Across Saudi Arabia

Riyadh:Thunderstorms are expected to continue impacting most regions of Saudi Arabia through next Tuesday, prompting the General Directorate of Civil Defense to advise the public to exercise caution. Residents are urged to remain in safe places, avoid areas with accumulated floodwaters, and refrain from swimming in them. The public is also encouraged to follow instructions issued through various media outlets and social media platforms.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted moderate to heavy rainfall in the Makkah Region, which may lead to flash floods, hail, and downdraft winds that could stir up dust and sand.

The regions of Jazan, Aseer, and Al-Baha are also expected to experience similar weather conditions, with moderate to heavy rainfall that may result in flash floods, hail, and downdraft winds. Meanwhile, light to moderate rainfall is anticipated in the regions of Madinah, Hail, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and the Northern Borders.
