Transport General Authority Signs Maritime Cooperation Agreement with Somalia

Riyadh: The Transport General Authority has signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Ports and Maritime Transport of Somalia to enhance maritime connectivity and boost economic relations between the two nations.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement was signed by Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Transport General Authority Saleh Al-Jasser and Somali Minister of Ports and Maritime Transport Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, in the presence of several officials from both sides.

The partnership aims to facilitate the smooth movement of commercial vessels through international sea lanes, improve the operational efficiency of passenger and cargo transport, and foster the exchange of maritime expertise.

This agreement serves as an extension of the authority's ongoing efforts to strengthen international partnerships, promote sustainability and efficiency in the maritime sector, and achieve the ambitious objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.
