Turkey confirms that Israel continues to commit crimes against humanity by killing aid workers

The Turkish Foreign Ministry confirmed that Israel continues to commit crimes against humanity by killing humanitarian aid workers and volunteers indiscriminately, especially those working for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

The Turkish Foreign Ministry expressed its gratitude in a post on the “X platform” Today on the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, August 19, to the humanitarian relief workers who work with all sacrifices around the world.

It said: “Israel has killed more than 40,000 of our innocent Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip, most of them children and women, and continues to commit crimes against humanity by indiscriminately killing humanitarian relief workers and volunteers, especially UNRWA.”

The Turkish Foreign Ministry stressed the need for the blood-stained government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be held accountable before international courts.

This year’s World Humanitarian Day coincides with a humanitarian disaster in
Sudan as a result of the war that has been ongoing for more than a year, and floods that have killed dozens and worsened the conditions of the displaced.

It also coincides with the continuation of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, which has led to the martyrdom and injury of about 133,000 Palestinians, and the spread of famine in several areas, especially the north, due to the depletion of medical and food supplies due to the siege imposed on the Strip for 18 years.
