The Turkish Foreign Ministry confirmed that Israel continues to commit crimes against humanity by killing humanitarian aid workers and volunteers indiscriminately, especially those working for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). It said: "Israel has killed more than 40,000 of our innocent Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip, most of them children and women, and continues to commit crimes against humanity by indiscriminately killing humanitarian relief workers and volunteers, especially UNRWA." The Turkish Foreign Ministry stressed the need for the blood-stained government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be held accountable before international courts. This year's World Humanitarian Day coincides with a humanitarian disaster in Sudan as a result of the war that has been ongoing for more than a year, and floods that have killed dozens and worsened the conditions of the displaced.
