Twelve Families Donate Organs, Saving 24 Lives in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: In a significant achievement, the Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation facilitated twelve organ donations during the past month. These generous acts of compassion resulted in the successful transplantation of two hearts, nine livers, twelve kidneys, and one pancreas, saving the lives of 24 individuals.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation Director General Dr. Talal Al Goufi said the center, in collaboration with hospitals across the Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates, conducted these vital procedures in accordance with strict medical ethics and a fair organ distribution system.

Notably, the center’s air medical evacuation department played a crucial role in timely transporting organs from the UAE to Riyadh.

Al Goufi expressed his gratitude to the twelve families who made the selfless decision to donate the organs of their loved ones. These acts of compassion demonstrate the strong sense of community and the spirit of giving that prevails within Saudi society.
