Makkah-- The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques today conducted the periodic wash of the roof of Kaaba within 20 minutes by a specialized team using that latest cleaning methods via several stages of sweeping the roof, dusting it and mopping the entire roof and walls, in addition to the Kaaba roof from outside with wet cloth.
Undersecretary of the General President for Services, Field Affairs and Realizing Environment Prevention Mohammed Al-Jaberi said that cleaning the Kaaba is made periodically according to a fixed timetable by specialized and trained personnel to serve the Grand Holy Mosque and its visitors, where natural rosewater is also used during the cleaning process.
Al-Jaberi added that the robot vacuums are as part of a development plan for washing the Kaaba roof, where these vacuums work both manually and automatically through a special application, where they can work for up to 3 hours before recharging for 4 hours, and it can cover an area of 180 square meters.
