Riyadh:During the third night of the Mongolian Falcon Auction, held as part of the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2026, two Saker falcons were sold for a total of SAR476,000.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the auction began with the sale of an adult Saker falcon for SAR116,000. The second falcon, a juvenile Saker, saw competitive bidding starting at SAR100,000 and eventually sold for SAR360,000.
The International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition has dedicated an area to Mongolian falcons for the second year, highlighting their popularity among falconers in the Kingdom and the region. This area showcases the Mongolian Saker falcon, admired for its size, wingspan, and diverse plumage, which ranges from light shades to dark brown.
The auction provides falconers the opportunity to view and bid on Mongolian falcons directly. This event highlights international participation and underscores the widespread interest in falconry, uniting enthusiasts from various cultures and backgrounds.
