Riyadh: The Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA) and the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language will jointly host a virtual symposium on September 30 to discuss Arabic language standards for OIC news agencies, aimed at establishing unified guidelines for media use in official outlets. The event represents a significant step in standardizing language practices across the news agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the goal of the symposium is to regulate media performance by applying precise scientific and technical standards to ensure quality control. This initiative is expected to improve language practices among news agencies within international organizations, enhancing the clarity and consistency of communication.
