Acting Undersecretary of the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance for Islamic Affairs Sheikh Dr. Awad Al-Anazi met today with the Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Izet Mexhiti, in the presence of the President of the Islamic Union, the Grand Mufti of Macedonia, Sheikh Hafiz Sakir Fetahu. The purpose of the meeting was to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in the field of Islamic affairs with the Presidency of the Islamic Union of North Macedonia. The deputy prime minister of Macedonia commended the great efforts and role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's government in spreading the values of moderation and combating extremism and terrorism. He expressed hope that these efforts and actions would spread worldwide. He emphasized that signing the MOU will help strengthen cooperation between the Islamic Union of North Macedonia and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance in serving Islamic affairs and clarifying the message of Islam. He also stated that he looks forwa rd to more cooperation between the two countries in various fields. In response, Dr. Al-Anazi explained that the Kingdom, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince, strives to serve Islam and Muslims. He emphasized that the Ministry is eager to engage in meetings that enhance cooperation and serve Islam and Muslims, especially in Macedonia.
