Unified Hajj Media Center Holds First Briefing on Pilgrim Services and Season Readiness

Makkah: The Unified Hajj Media Operations Center: The Unified Hajj Media Operations Center held its first press briefing yesterday for the 1447 AH Hajj season, featuring Chairman of the center Saleh Al-Thubaiti, Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Spokesperson Dr. Ghassan Al-Nuaimi, and Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture Spokesperson Saleh Bindakhil.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Thubaiti noted that this year's Hajj season is covered by more than 150 media outlets with over 3,000 media professionals. The center has produced more than 6,400 media materials in multiple languages, generating over 100,000 international media items with 11 billion views.

Al-Nuaimi highlighted that last year's pilgrim satisfaction index reached 91%, forming the baseline for this year's preparations. Over 111,000 personnel are serving pilgrims, supported by more than 83,000 field inspection tours. He also stated that the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah emphasized the mandatory carrying of the Nusuk card and remaining in camps on the Day of Arafah from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM.

Bindakhil confirmed the full readiness of the environment, water, and agriculture system, with more than 5,000 qualified personnel deployed. The National Water Company is pumping water through networks exceeding 5,700 kilometers, conducting more than 4,000 daily laboratory tests. The National Center for Waste Management is transporting 10,000 tons of waste and recycling more than 25,000 cubic meters.
