Washington-- US President Joe Biden has announced the killing of the terrorist Al-Qaeda leader Ayman Al-Zawahiri in a US strike in Afghanistan last Saturday.

In a statement, Biden added that no one from Al-Zawahiri's family was injured in the strike and that there were no civilian casualties, noting that the US intelligence has pinpointed the location of Al-Zawahiri earlier this year.

Biden confirmed that Afghanistan will never become a safe haven for terrorists any more.
