Washington, Feb. 28, 2022, SPA -- The United States of America recorded, in the past 24 hours, 78,135 new infections of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and 2,216 deaths as well.

According to statistics published by the American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the number of infections reached 78,732,221, while the death toll reached 944,517.
