Riyadh: The Uzbekistan Pavilion concluded its activities today at the Riyadh International Book Fair 2025, wrapping up a successful multi-day program that showcased the country’s rich culture and literature.
According to Saudi Press Agency, as the fair’s guest of honor, the pavilion hosted a diverse range of events, including literary seminars and dialogue sessions, exhibitions of Arabic calligraphy and Islamic inscriptions, and traditional musical performances.
The dialogue sessions specifically addressed the history of cultural relations between Uzbekistan and Arab countries and highlighted the critical role of translation in promoting cultural understanding.
Visitors had the opportunity to explore prominent Uzbek works translated into Arabic and engage in meetings with writers and thinkers. These sessions provided valuable insights into modern Uzbek literature, including poetic and prose pieces that reflect the evolution of Uzbekistan’s cultural scene.
The selection of Uzbekistan as the guest of honor affirmed the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission’s commitment to openness to global cultures, presenting diverse literary experiences that enrich the local cultural scene and open new horizons for dialogue and knowledge exchange.
