Doha: The pavilion of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, participating within the Saudi Arabia stand at the 34th Doha International Book Fair, attracted significant attention from visitors eager to explore its diverse educational and technological offerings, showcasing the Kingdom's efforts in serving Islam and Muslims.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the interactive experience accompanying the pavilion drew considerable interest from visitors, as virtual reality technology allowed them to explore the landmarks of the Grand Mosque, the Prophet's Mosque, and the holy sites through a modern, immersive simulation. This technology offered a simplified visual introduction to Hajj and Umrah rituals in an engaging and contemporary format that attracted visitors of all age groups.
The ministry also showcased several modern digital tools and electronic applications offering awareness and educational content in multiple languages. This was complemented by various editions of the Holy Quran issued by the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex, as well as a selection of books and academic and dawah publications.
The ministry's participation in the Doha International Book Fair reflects its ongoing efforts to promote the Kingdom's message of serving Islam and Muslims. It highlights its awareness, dawah, and technological initiatives, and strengthens its cultural and intellectual presence at international events.
