Voluntary Medical Team Conducts 394 Open-Heart, Catheterization Surgeries in Al-Mukalla, Yemen, in November

Hadramout, Yemen, A medical team affiliated to the Riyadh-based King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre’s (KSrelief), as part of the the Seventh Nabdh AlSaudia Volunteer Program for Cardiac Cath and Surgery-pediatric in Hadramout, in cooperation with the Nabd Al-Hayah Center for Heart Diseases and Surgery, conducted 394 open-heart, catheterization surgeries in Al-Mukalla, Yemen, in November.

Of the total, 31 open-heart surgeries were conducted, 171 surgeries for treatment catheterization and 192 diagnostic catheterizations, which benefited households with limited income who cannot afford the costs of these surgeries in Yemeni hospitals.

This is part of the support offered by KSrelief, Saudi Arabia’s relief arm, to help the medical sector in Yemen.
