WAMY Launches Eye Surgery Campaign in Cameroon

Maroua: The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) held its 12th eye surgery initiative in Maroua, Cameroon, as part of its humanitarian programs aimed at providing medical care for eye diseases and helping reduce the causes of visual impairment and blindness.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the first four days of the campaign, the medical team conducted 624 medical examinations and performed 217 surgeries. On the fourth day alone, the team carried out 113 examinations and 53 surgeries, all in accordance with established medical procedures and standards.

A delegation from the Cameroonian Ministry of Health visited the hospital to review the workflow and medical services provided to beneficiaries. The delegation also met with the medical team and organizers, commending their efforts to deliver healthcare services to those in need.
