Wildlife and Vegetation Abound in Jazan’s Al-Hashr Mountains

Riyadh: Al-Hashr Mountains Al-Hashr Mountains in Jazan Region form part of the Sarawat Mountain range, with peaks exceeding 2,000 meters above sea level, creating stratified climatic and vegetation zones that support rich biodiversity in southwestern Saudi Arabia.

According to Saudi Press Agency, environmental observations record a distinct diversity of wildlife, including the Arabian cobra, Arabian red fox, eagle, and grey-headed kingfisher. Native vegetation, including wild juniper, sidr, and acacia, provides food and shelter for wildlife. Seasonal rains between March and September further boost vegetation growth and wildlife activity.
