Washington: The World Bank Group has announced the appointment of Eng. Abdulmohsen Almadhi as a member of the International Advisory Board (IAB) for Innovation Awards, which brings together a distinguished group of innovation leaders from around the world.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the board is one of the World Bank’s key initiatives to promote open innovation methodologies and support viable development-oriented entrepreneurial ideas. It is responsible for reviewing global innovation initiatives, providing strategic advisory, and guiding the bank’s efforts toward development solutions based on emerging technologies.
CEO of the Innovation and Emerging Technologies Center at the Digital Government Authority (DGA) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdulmohsen Almadhi was selected for this role in recognition of his 15+ years of experience in leading digital and innovation programs, and his contributions to advancing digital transformation in Saudi Arabia. He has also held pivotal roles within both the public and private sectors. His participation on the board will further strengthen its efforts through sharing applied expertise, evaluating innovative projects, and supporting the development of a joint knowledge ecosystem between the public and private sectors and international entities.
