Manama, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, visited the Southern Youth Empowerment Centre, as part of her series of visits to youth empowerment centres in the kingdom.

The minister said that youth empowerment centres are innovative spaces fostering creative and entrepreneurial thinking among young people and aiming at developing their talents and skills.

The ministry supports these centres by offering diverse programmes to meet their ideas and projects, and empowering youth to shape the future of the kingdom, she added.

Tawfiqi commended the efforts of the chairman and members of the board of directors of the Southern Youth Empowerment Centre for their efforts in developing the youth sector.

She emphasised the importance of the board of directors in promoting communication with young people, engaging them in programme development, and utilising their free time to expand their creativity.

The minister was briefed about the latest activities and programmes provided for the youth and the
board’s plans to attract more young people by increasing the number of initiatives and addressing the centre’s needs.
