Al-haditha: The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) at Al-Haditha border crossing thwarted an attempt to smuggle 426,162 amphetamine pills into the Kingdom after discovering them hidden within a truck's spare tire compartment during a routine security inspection.

According to Saudi Press Agency, ZATCA spokesperson Hamoud Al-Harbi affirmed the authority's commitment to tightening control over all ports of entry to protect society from illicit goods. He emphasized that coordination with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control is central to a broader strategy for enhancing national security and curbing smuggling.
