Riyadh: Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) announced that the number of passengers transported by the Al Mashaaer Al Muqaddasah Metro Project from its official launch on Monday morning until the completion of transporting pilgrims to Arafat at 11:00 a.m. today exceeded 314,000.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the third operational phase of the train is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. this evening, Tuesday. This phase will focus on transporting pilgrims from Arafat to Muzdalifah.

SAR had previously revealed an operational plan for the Al Mashaaer Al Muqaddasah Metro, which encompasses more than 2,000 trips and aims to transport over two million passengers throughout the Hajj season.
