Grand Mosque Tahallul Service Undergoes Significant Expansion

Mecca: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque continues its efforts to improve services for pilgrims by implementing a comprehensive operational plan to enhance the free tahallul service (ritual hair cutting) at the Grand Mosque.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the service, available around the clock for men and women, facilitates pilgrims' completion of their Hajj rituals while improving service quality during this year's Hajj season.

The plan aims to increase the number of beneficiaries to 120,000 pilgrims this season by expanding operational capacity and service coverage, reflecting ongoing improvements in services at the Grand Mosque.

The initiative includes the expansion of service locations under a structured distribution plan designed to improve access and reduce congestion.

New stations have been added near the Marwa area to ease crowd flow and accommodate the high volume of pilgrims, alongside designated lanes for elderly pilgrims and persons with disabilities to ensure easier access.

These efforts form part of an integrated ecosystem aimed at enhancing the experience of pilgrims and Umrah performers by providing free, high-quality services that reflect the Kingdom's continued care for visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.
