Garmsar: An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale struck the city of Garmsar in the Semnan province, eastern Tehran, today.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the earthquake occurred at 05.16 local time (1.46 GMT) at a depth of 11 kilometers. The tremor led to power and internet outages in the affected area. Local authorities are assessing the situation and coordinating efforts to restore services and ensure public safety.
