5.5-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes China’s Xinjiang

A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck the city of Kuqa in Aksu Prefecture of northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The China Earthquake Networks Center reported that the quake epicenter was monitored at 40.98 degrees north latitude and 83.93 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 10 km.

So far, there have been no reports of casualties or material damage caused by the earthquake.
