A joint force of the Popular Mobilization Forces, the army and the police carried out, on Saturday, a large-scale search operation from two axes northwest of the city of Mosul.
The Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces participated in the operation, represented by the Operations Command, Intelligence, and Media Departments, and the Mobilization Support Directorates from the Intelligence and Anti- Explosives Directorate, the Medical Corps, and the two brigades (21, 59) in partnership with the army and local and river police units, with two axes in Wana and Badoush district, northwest of the city of Mosul.
The operation included a field survey and cleansing of the areas on the banks of the Tigris River and the middle islands to search for the wanted persons and secure the area.
