A security force from the 97th Infantry Brigade and the Special Forces launched a raid and thorough search in the Marshes of Amarah to pursue the wanted persons.

A statement by the Maysan Operations Command stated: "The operation will continue until its goals are achieved by arresting wanted persons and confiscating unlicensed weapons and ammunition."
