Manama, Asim Abdullatif, Undersecretary of Agriculture and Animal Wealth Affairs, met with a delegation from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The delegation included Fidaa Haddad, Senior Programme Officer at the FAO Regional Office for the Near East and North Africa, and Dr. Waleed Hassan Abou Al Hassan, Senior Natural Resources Officer at the Sub-Regional Office for the Gulf Cooperation Council and Yemen. The undersecretary highlighted the FAO's efforts in developing vegetation cover and agricultural production, emphasising the ministry's eagerness to enhance agricultural and animal cooperation in projects aimed at achieving food and agricultural development, as well as in afforestation initiatives. The FAO delegation commended the Kingdom's pioneering role in collaborating with international organisation and reviewed the organisation's upcoming projects in the region, including those in the Kingdom. The meeting was attended by Mohamed Al Araibi, Assistant Undersecretar y for Agricultural Affairs, and Ja'afar Al Tajer, Director of the Local Agricultural Production Directorate.
