Al-Sudani meets the delegation of the national youth football team that qualified for the World Youth Cup

Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani met today, Saturday, with the delegation of the national youth football team, which won second place in the Asian Youth Championship, and qualified for the World Youth Cup in Indonesia.

A statement by the Prime Minister’s Media Office stated, “Al-Sudani” congratulated the team’s mission and the young players on their achievement, and praised the technical level and heroic performance they presented, which culminated in their qualification to the World Cup, which he considered a real achievement to be proud of, and a source of happiness for the Iraqi people, as it won the attention of the state and the government.

The Prime Minister directed “to honor the players of the youth team and the technical and administrative staff, stressing the Council of Ministers’ support for the Iraqi Football Association, and for the youth team in its upcoming benefits, and urged the players to be well prepared to reflect the honorable image of Iraq in the next international forum, especially since all eyes will be directed to the FIFA World Youth Championship and the participating teams.”

He stressed, “Supporting sports in general is a priority, pointing to the government’s continuation in honoring heroic players, and supporting athletes and pioneers.”
