Baghdad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani received today, Tuesday, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Iraq, Bratislav Jejel. According to a statement from his office, Al-Sudani expressed his congratulations to the ambassador on the occasion of assuming his duties, and wished him success in his upcoming tasks. He pointed to the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and the availability of various investment opportunities in Iraq, calling on Serbian companies and businessmen to invest in major projects in the country, and to benefit from the great facilities provided by the government. The Prime Minister referred to the developments in the situation in the region, especially with the ongoing escalation practiced by the occupation forces in Gaza and other Palestinian territories. For his part, the Ambassador conveyed a verbal invitation to the Prime Minister from the Presidents of the Republic and the Serbian Prime Ministers to visit Belgrade, s tressing the desire to establish constructive cooperation at all levels, in addition to activating joint agreements and memoranda of understanding.
