Arab League Secretary-General Condemns Iranian Assaults on Gulf States

Arab league: Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy has reiterated his unequivocal rejection of Iranian attacks targeting the interests and territories of several Arab Gulf states. This condemnation follows recent assaults on the Saudi tanker Wedyan and the Qatari tanker Al-Rekayyat, as well as strikes against the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Fahmy issued a statement highlighting the grave nature of these escalations and their potential repercussions on regional security. He emphasized that the ongoing attacks pose a risk to regional and international efforts aimed at de-escalation and the safeguarding of maritime navigation.

Fahmy further expressed the Arab League's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and all other Arab Gulf states. He underscored that the security of the Arabian Gulf is integral to the Arab national security framework, warning that any assault on its states, vital interests, or maritime routes threatens the broader region's security and stability.
