Jeddah:The third season of the Aramco F4 Saudi Arabian Championship Certified by the FIA has commenced, marking the start of the Kingdom's first national single-seater championship. The opening round will continue until October 3, featuring 15 drivers from eight teams. ALTAWKILAT Motorsport organizes the championship, adhering to the sporting regulations of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation. According to Saudi Press Agency, the championship builds on its second edition held in 2025, where it spanned five rounds and 10 races across Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, with 20 drivers participating. Kit Belofsky of Great Britain won the championship with Team PEAX, accumulating 189 points, ahead of Adam Al Azhari from the UAE with Team VALVOLINE, who scored 125 points. Sweden’s Scott Lindblom with Team REDBULL finished third with 108 points. This 2026 season sees an expansion to six rounds, offering a more extensive schedule from October to December, thereby enhancing the championship’s regional prominence and providing more competitive opportunities for drivers. The grid this year is diverse, with Arab drivers such as Saudi Arabia's Faris Organji and Abdullah Kamel, Zakaria Doleh from the UAE, Hamza Al Fayez from Jordan, and George Nassar from Lebanon. All competitors will race in identical Tatuus T421 - Abarth F4 Gen2 cars, ensuring that outcomes are determined by driver skill and racecraft. The opening round kicked off with on-track testing on Thursday, while official competitions start on Friday, October 2, with free practice and qualifying sessions. Race 1 is scheduled for 9:00 PM, followed by a podium ceremony at 9:40 PM. Friday also includes two Motor Mania JDM Cup races. Saturday, October 3, will feature additional practice and qualifying, with Race 2 concluding the round at 9:00 PM, accompanied by a podium ceremony. The Motor Mania GT showcase will precede this at 7:40 PM. The Jeddah Corniche Circuit hosts the first four rounds, with Round 1 from October 1-3, followed by Round 2 on October 7-8, Round 3 from October 31 to November 2, and Round 4 on November 6-7. The championship then moves to Qatar's Lusail International Circuit for Round 5 from December 7-9, culminating in the final round from December 13-14. The event offers a comprehensive experience for families and motorsport enthusiasts, with races from the Aramco F4 Saudi Arabian Championship and Motor Mania, a lively paddock atmosphere, and interactive Fan Zone activities.
