Assistant Minister of Culture Engages with ALIPH Foundation in Paris

Paris: Assistant Minister of Culture Rakan Al-Touq met today with Chair of the International Alliance for the Protection of Heritage (ALIPH) Foundation Board Bariza Khiari, on the sidelines of his visit to Paris where he participated on behalf of the minister of culture in the foundation's 17th board meeting.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting discussed the Kingdom's contributions to support ALIPH's initiatives, as well as its role in strengthening international efforts to protect cultural heritage and also reviewed the foundation's achievements in safeguarding and restoring damaged heritage sites worldwide.

The two officials also discussed the latest developments in implementing the agreement to establish ALIPH's first regional office in Riyadh and its future role in supporting the foundation's efforts across the region.

The Kingdom's hosting of the office reflects its continued commitment to supporting global initiatives dedicated to protecting cultural heritage and reinforces its position as an active partner to preserve humanity's heritage.
