Baghdad To Host A Conference Of Transport Ministers From Neighboring Countries And The GCC Next Saturday

Baghdad will host, next Saturday, a conference of transport ministers for the Iraqi neighboring countries and the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States.

The spokesman for the Iraqi government, Basim Al-Awadi, said in a statement: “Based on the Iraqi government’s vision of the importance of economic integration among the countries of the region, and in line with the government program that is based on economic reform and advancing strategic projects forward, the capital, Baghdad, will host, next Saturday, a conference of transport ministers of the neighboring countries of Iraq and the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, with the aim of discussing the promising project represented by the strategic development road (the dry channel), which constitutes a vital and important path for all countries in the region and the world.

Al-Awadi explained that this conference comes within the framework of the government's path in strengthening cooperation and economic interdependence with brothers and friends, which represents a foundation for peace, stability and prosperity for our peoples, and the consolidation of Baghdad's position as the House of Peace as a tent for security and partnership, and a starting point for sustainable development.
