A statement by the media office of the Interior Ministry stated that, after they visited the Federal Police Forces Command, Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, Jordanian Interior Minister Mazen Al-Farayeh and his accompanying delegation visited the Border Forces Command, as they were received by the Border Forces Commander Major General Muhammad Abdul-Wahhab Sukkar and a number of Commanders and officers.
The guest delegation listened to a brief explanation of the most important duties carried out by this leadership and the operations it performs to maintain the border strip with neighboring countries in a manner that guarantees its security according to modern systems and technology.
The Jordanian Minister praised the professional work of the Border Forces Command, especially in the field of preventing infiltration and smuggling operations.
The Jordanian Minister was also briefed, according to the statement, on the security fortifications on the Iraqi-Jordanian border, noting that the border forces carry out great tasks when performing their work.
According to the statement, on the sidelines of the visit, the Jordanian delegation was briefed on an exhibition that embodies the history of the Border Forces Command and the most important stages of its establishment.
