Border Guard Holds Maritime Safety Awareness Exhibition in Aseer Region

Riyadh: The General Directorate of Border Guard held an exhibition to raise awareness of maritime safety, promote proper practices, and reduce the risk of drowning in Abha.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the exhibition, running through August 15, showcases Border Guard instructions and regulations for beachgoers, penalties for swimming in unauthorized locations, and safety guidelines to be followed when going out to sea. It also highlights Border Guard search and rescue efforts and measures to ensure the safety of marine vessels before they set sail.

The General Directorate of Border Guard called on beachgoers and sea-goers to comply with the instructions and guidelines. It also urged them to call 911 in Makkah, Madinah and Eastern regions, and 994 in other regions of Saudi Arabia to request assistance in emergencies.
