Buraidah International Dates Carnival Promotes Saudi Dates Globally

Buraidah: Over the years, the Buraidah International Dates Carnival has undergone a significant transformation, evolving from a local seasonal date-marketing event into a major international festival that brings together production, trade, investment, and marketing.

According to Saudi Press Agency, strategic initiatives associated with the carnival, including expanding partnerships and strengthening marketing and export channels, have opened new opportunities for Saudi date products in global markets.

Indicators from the palm and date sector in Qassim Region highlight the strong economic foundation underpinning the carnival. The region is home to approximately 11 million palm trees, producing over 580,000 tons of dates annually across more than 100 varieties.

Saudi dates are also exported to over 100 countries worldwide, underscoring the sector's growing global reach and competitiveness.

The 75-day Buraidah International Dates Carnival continues to strengthen its position as a global platform that brings together stakeholders, supports investment and marketing opportunities, and contributes to expanding the international presence of Saudi date products.
