Camels Cover More than 14,000 Kilometers Since Crown Prince Camel Festival’s Debut

Taif: Camels competing in the Crown Prince Camel Festival have covered more than 14,000 kilometers across its eight editions, with 4,050 races held at the historic Taif Camel Racing Track since the inaugural edition in 2018 through the conclusion of the eighth edition today.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the eighth edition wrapped up today under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The event was organized by the Saudi Camel Racing Federation, with prize money exceeding SAR50 million.

The scale of the races, distances, and participation reflects the development of the festival, the expansion of its competitions, and its role in promoting camel racing and preserving the cultural heritage associated with it.
