Coordination Meeting Held in Arab League to Prepare for Second Ministerial Meeting with Pacific Countries in Kingdom Next Month

A coordination meeting was held at the headquarters of the Arab League today at the level of the permanent representatives of Arab states, at Saudi Arabia's request, to prepare for the second ministerial meeting of the Arab states and the Pacific islands countries.

The Kingdom was represented at the coordination meeting by an adviser at the under-secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdullah Musa Al-Tayer.

Assistant Secretary General and Head of International Political Affairs at the Arab League Khaled bin Mohammed Manzalawi noted that participants at the coordinating meeting discussed arrangements for the preparation of the second ministerial meeting of the Arab states and Pacific islands countries, to be held next month in the Kingdom on June 11 and 12. He noted that the first ministerial meeting was held in June 2010 in the United Arab Emirates.
