Davis Cup: Lebanon wins over South Africa 2-0 on first day in Cairo

Lebanon advanced over South Africa (2-0) at the end of the first day of the World Group II of the Davis Cup tennis competition, which is held on the first court of the Palm Hills Sports Club in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on a clay-dirt floor. Lebanese Benjamin Hassan (ranked 195 in the world) defeated Alek Bekele (South Africa, ranked 641) 6-4, 6-2. In the second match, Lebanese Hadi Habib, ranked 268, achieved an exciting victory over Philippe Henning (ranked 360) 6-4, 3-6, 7-6.
